3.16.20: álcool gel

We use a lot of that these days^^

Something that an angry man said to me this week:
Where are you from?
The US
Well you can go back there bc that is where you belong, not here *shuts door
OK thanks

Happier quotes:
"Joy endures in times and through experiences that are both good and bad because of our knowledge of the Father's plan and of the Savior's Atonement"  -David A. Bednar (Jesus Christ: The True Source of  Enduring Joy) Liahona Dec. 2019

"I have come to believe that one measure of our eternal progress is how much joy we derive from service" our man Kev (who is currently unemployed) RIP @BYU

This week we had Zone Conference which is always really fun. One thing that my mission Pres said to me in my interview was "If you work for the Lord, He'll work for you". I really loved that bc a lot of times we can worry about what is going on in our life, but if we focus on helping others, then God will make everything else in our life work for our good.
Our mission pres lives in our area and last week he took us out to dinner. *Add that to the list ;) (of random things I have done with my mission pres.)

Also, this... as promised from my last email. This is the article that hit me hard. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2019/12/youth/you-dont-want-to-be-a-mock-star ("You don´t wanna be a mock star" Dec 2019 Liahona)

Sorry this week was short,
love you all!

tchau,
Sister Barton

Pics!! {Amy's note: Before COVID-19 hit us all so hard, Liza's days were filled with teaching from the Book of Mormon, acai dates with other sister missionaries, etc. She just called and has been asked to shelter in place like most all of us.  For now, she is staying put in Brazil.  As we all know, that changes quickly. These pics may get out of order when I send them. The one that doesn't have Liza in it is from Ubatuba!  The woman on the R. is Miriam, who she taught before she left the area.  Miriam not only still went to church after Liza left, she even brought her friend with her!! Wahoo, Miriam! The other pics are pretty self explanatory. I love the way she glows these days. Sending extra prayers and wishes to all of you right now!  Love, Amy}
