10.19.20: SIMP's B-day

Image
This week was awesome!  We taught Luca a few times he said he just feels way happier and he has no idea why. Something funny that he said:  É muito top ter um profeta vivo -Luca (It's top to have a living prophet) like basically it's the best! YES  Another friend we found through FB watched our Portuguese Sunday school this week! His name is Charles. Good job, Charles.  A place we did service at last week called us and asked us to come back next week bc we were "the best volunteers they have ever had". Hah I guess we are just REALLY good at sorting clothes. SIS. SIMPSON'S BDAY was on Friday and we went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate! We also had to give a "training" in district council about planning which is super ironic bc I am supposed to sign up for my classes this week and I have NO LIFE PLAN.  The nicest stake missionary named sister Everette saw that we were dressed up as the cheetah girls at Zone conference and she bought us matching ch...

10.12.20: Here's Your Mail, Debbie.

^ ok so our cool neighbor's mail somehow ended up in our mailbox and when we went to give it to her at her door, she asked us to teach her! It was so awesome! We aren't  allowed to teach people that live in our building UNLESS they come to us. Also, the sisters we live with are going to teach her bc she is obviously English speaking, but it was awesome that God put her mail in our mailbox so that we could go to her door and have her ask to talk more with us!  We got to do more service at Foodshare, but this time we packed all the produce into grocery bags. We also got to help at another place called "gifts of love" and they let people come take food and clothes, so we just sorted clothes. My favorite part of both of those was talking to people that we were working with. Some people just have extra time and they want to do service and some people were doing it for college degrees, but everyone has a crazy life story and people are SO INTERESTING.   Luca came to...

10.5.20: Conferência de Russell

^our new BFF Luca decided that General Conference is actually Russell Conference. He watched all FIVE sessions. Yes, this man watched women's session and is wayyyy more dedicated than all of us ever dream of being.  Other highlights of the week were:   Zone conference- we dressed up as the cheetah girls bc that's what we wanted to be for Halloween but sister Potter will be gone.  Service!!!! We helped with something called Foodshare where we went to a neighborhood and basically passed out grocery bags full of fruits and veggies!  We also worked on a really cute farm where we cut the tops of Brussels sprout plants and then ripped vines off of a fence to clear it. It was really fun to be outside and the trees up in the mountains were SO PRETTY.  My friend William from Pawtucket got baptized!!!!! I got to watch over zoom and afterwards he texted me saying thank you for teaching him! It was so awesome.  General Conference was incredible! I loved how...
