2.3.20: The Book of Mormon in PDF Form?!

This week we made a real scene going to church- and I liked it.
We took 3 little girls which I'm pretty sure is a crime but don't tell. They are 6 (Julia), 10 (Maria) and 13 (Beatriz) and they live with their grandparents. One day (awhile ago) we were walking down the street and they said do you teach about Jesus? Can you give us a lesson?
Last week we taught them about the word of wisdom and the youngest one said "why aren't you guys telling this stuff to adults, they're the ones with all these problems?" (their gma smokes and their gpa drinks). They are so cute.

We also took our friend Ana Clara and her boyfriend's sister Pamela.
Anyways we had a long line of bikes going to church this sunday and it made me so happy. But we were just as happy to take those girls back home and tell their grandparents that they didn't die on the way to or from church.

Miracle:
So awhile ago we went to visit a less-active lady named Giselle who actually was baptized in Portugal. She has a lady who cleans her house named Rosa. When we got there Rosa was the only one there so we gave her a BOM and the Restoration pamphlet. She took it home and nothing really came of it.
On saturday night this guy called us. we were super confused bc we didn't know anyone named Vinicius. Long story short, he's Rosa's son and he saw the pamphlet and called us to ask where the chapel is. HE ACTUALLY WENT TO CHURCH THE NEXT DAY.

We went back to teach Isabel (woman from last week's email) and she showed us that she had already downloaded a PDF of the BOM! She is gold. We showed her the app which is way better but she found that all by herself and she is so ready to learn everything! (She does have to get married though :/ )

Jacob 3:6
And now, this commandment they observe to keep; wherefore, because of this observance, in keeping this commandment, the Lord God will not destroy them, but will be amerciful unto them; and one day they shall bbecome a blessed people.

OK so in Portuguese this scripture says that they put in "effort" to keeping the commandments. But anyways, I really loved this thought that the people had to put in effort to keeping the commandments. They weren't perfect, but with their efforts they could have a lot of blessings then and in the future.
I love this quote from gen conf: I think it´s from Terrence M. Vinson
It’s not our successes but rather our sacrifice and efforts that matter to the Lord.

have a great week!
