10.21.19: Ubatuba

^that's not random typing gente.  that's a place. and it's the place where I'll be riding a bike(!!!) at least the next six weeks. I have a new companion and she's super cute but I am really sad to leave my other companion because she is a literal missionary rockstar.

Guarujá was a really good first area and I am sad to leave all the members there and the people that I met, but I am excited for a different area.

The other day I met this super cute family contacting on the street and the parents were kind of trying to ignore us and get into their car, but the little girl was loving our attention and for some reason little kids speaking foreign languages are ADORABLE. When i was walking away she said to her brother "Ela é Elsa" (she's Elsa). Haha.

Valerio's coffee machine broke the other day and he decided that it was a sign for him to stop drinking coffee! He said he started thinking in his head if it really was something that he needed to do and then he said that he heard a voice in his head say "were you not already told?" haha sorry it's kinda weird translated, but you get the gist.

I was reading in the new testament this week about the last few days of the Savior on earth and how Judas betrays him:
Mark 14:11 "And he sought how he might conveniently betray him."
I had never realized that it says "conveniently". I started thinking how we never want to betray the Savior but maybe sometimes we do things that let us conveniently bend the truth or do something that's not "all that bad". There were so many talks in the last conference about how Satan is working really hard to make good things look evil and evil things look good and how we need to be aware of what really is good and what tools the devil is using to stray us from the path.

Love you all,
Sister Barton
