10.14.19: I played GOLF... in Brasil

I don´t even like golf.

Crazy things happen on a mission but I never imagined that i would play golf. My mission president decided that he was gonna take my companion and I golfing which I have never done and never really wanted to. But it was really fun and super random and I probs will never play golf again in my life. Obviously he is super rich because he plays golf but spending time with him you just feel rich-ness  spewing out of him. He is super awesome and I am super lucky to have such an awesome mission president.

An investigator named Valerio we had at the beginning of when I came to Guarujá stopped talking to us for some reason a while ago. But about a month passed and last week Victor (recent convert) told us that he saw him and that Valerio wanted to talk to us again! So we took Victor to visit him and Victor just said to him "So why aren't you baptized yet?" and then Valerio (who has been hung up about the fact that he can't serve a mission bc he is 33) said to Victor "why don't you want to serve a mission?" (bc my comp and I are really trying to help him go on a mission) Then we just watched them talk for like 20 mins grilling each other about getting baptized and going on a mission. It was super nice that they both asked all the ?'s we really wanted to know and we didn't have to say anything.

The other day we taught this awesome lady named Helena who we have been teaching for awhile about going to church and not working on Sundays. She just randomly stopped us in the middle of the lesson and told us that for a long time she has wanted a day off bc she runs her own store but she never could really make herself take a day off. She decided that she was going to stop working on Sunday and told us that she felt it in her heart that this was a good thing for her to do! She was at church the next day and at night we walked past her street and her store wasn't open. It was so cool. She is super awesome and one of her kids is a member and got married in the temple a few weeks ago.

Quotes this week:

"Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, and we will be if we do what He tells us to do in the best way we can. Even if our efforts are not quite perfect yet."
